How do patrons print documents in the library? "Back in the day"..... most people owned at home printers they used with their desktop computers to print. As ink becomes more and more expensive and people need to print from their laptops, tablets and smartphones, desktop computers become more obsolete.

Insert the public library! Public libraries have become more and more convenient for patrons to use public computers to print or even better, printing wireless from their own personal device. That is how patrons can print from the library I work at. It's a little bit of a learning curve to show patrons how they can bring up a document to print on their device. They switch their WiFi to our library printer, and easily print what they need.

This week from my college classmates I learned about Princh. Princh is a simple cloud-based printing solution that allows users to print, copy, scan and pay from their mobile devices, laptops and desktop PC's. This is a great option for patrons to use at libraries that only use cash or check options.
